的 University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is committed to providing educational opportunities to students from all backgrounds, regardless of financial means. We encourage our students to seek additional scholarships to finance their education through community organizations and foundations or access the opportunities listed below. 的 Guide to 应用ing for 奖学金 (PDF) can assist students with getting started.
Open to students pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree for the first time; enrolled a minimum of full-time (12+ credit hours), or enrolled at least half-time (6+ credit hours) and working a minimum of 19 hours per week; committed to maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5; have demonstrated financial need; not enrolled in any other subsidized child care program; and are a citizen or legal resident of the United States, and a resident of Bexar County.

Fifth-Year Accounting Scholarship
Open to Texas residents who demonstrate financial need determined by the FAFSA and need 30 or fewer hours to complete the 150 semester hours education requirement to take the CPA examination in Texas. 还必须提交 意向书的适用 to take the CPA exam with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
Children of Fallen Heroes Scholarship (PDF)
Open to Pell-eligible students whose parent or guardian died in the line of duty while performing as a public safety officer. Students must have also been less than 24 years of age or enrolled at an institution of higher education at the time of their parent’s or guardian’s death.
Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) 奖学金
Open to students who have graduated from high school, are currently enrolled at an HACU-member institution in the U.S. 或者波多黎各, have completed their first semester of college at the HACU-member institution, intend to enroll at an HACU-member institution in the spring of 2024 or fall of 2024 (varies by scholarship), and demonstrate financial need (if required by the scholarship sponsor). Deadlines vary by scholarship.

Students from Latin America or the Caribbean can find a listing of scholarships, 奖助金, 奖学金和贷款, 由 罗基金 program of the Organization of American States (美洲国家组织). 70多年来 罗基金 has granted interest-free student loans for university studies in the U.S. to supplement other sources of financing.
Through the UIW Endowed Scholarship Program, UIW is able to offer a wide variety of scholarship opportunities to students of high academic and/or artistic ability. 的se endowments are made possible by the generosity and commitment of UIW's alumni and friends. 的 Endowed Scholarship application is available each year from January and the deadline is in April.
Fashion Management Scholarship: 的 Juren Sullivan Center for Fashion Management awards several scholarships in the spring. 的 scholarships are announced at the Red Dress Fashion Show. 的se scholarships generally range from $500 to $1,500. Performing and 美术 奖学金: Students interested in performing and fine arts scholarships should contact the designated department for information on auditions and performance dates.

的re are several scholarship programs that provide health professional students with financial support in exchange for a commitment to serve medically underserved areas. Most Health Resource and Service Administration scholarships have service requirements. If the service requirements are not met, the scholarship funds will revert to a loan(s). Be sure to review the requirements of a scholarship before you apply.
- Nurse Corps Scholarship Program
的 Nurse Corps Scholarship Program provides nursing students with financial support in exchange for a commitment to serve at least two years in a qualifying Nurse Corps site. As a condition of acceptance into this program, you must work at a Critical Shortage Facility upon graduation. 对美国开放.S. citizens and permanent residents enrolled in a nursing degree program. - National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program
的 National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program pays tuition, fees and other educational costs and provides a stipend in exchange for a commitment to work for two years at an approved NHSC site. To qualify, you must work in one of these health disciplines:- 医生

- Native Hawaiian Health Scholarship Program (NHHSP)
的 NHHSP provides scholarships to Native Hawaiians pursuing careers in primary and behavioral health disciplines. 的 program pays tuition, provides a monthly stipend and covers related school costs. Students must serve in a medically underserved area within the state of Hawaii immediately after graduation/licensure for every year of funding that the student receives with a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years.
